BARCODE SCANNERS

A barcode scanner produces results through the combined working of three parts including the illumination system, the sensor, and the decoder. While scanning, the red light illuminates the stripes of barcode and the sensor generates an analog signal which is further sent to the decoder. The decoder verifies the check digit and produces text results which include the information about the product.

POS TERMINALS

POS terminals are the replacement for cash registers where a customer can directly pay using his credit or debit card. All a customer needs to do is insert his card into the terminal and enter the PIN to make payment. The introduction of the cashless mode of payment is now accepted widely across all major and minor business sectors.

CASH REGISTER

Cash registers made their way in Point of Sale in 1800s and have since come a long way.
